“The Space” is that place between a trigger and a behavior.

Let me explain:

When you finish eating, you reach for a cigarette.

Do it enough times, it becomes a habit.

And when it’s a habit? There’s no space. The trigger happens, and boom—you’re already doing the behavior.

You’re not choosing. You’re just reacting.

Here’s what hypnosis does:

It makes that space grow larger.

Suddenly, there’s room between the trigger and the behavior.

You’re no longer at the mercy of your habits. You can still do them, yes. But now you’re choosing that behavior, rather than mindlessly obeying.
